The delightful little Wildcat Park represents a unique partnership. The 53-acre property is owned by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources and is leased to the Tippecanoe County Park and Recreation Department, which provides for the daily management of the park.
Wildcat Park's primary purpose is to provide a canoe access to Wildcat Creek, one of the state's Scenic Streams. Canoeists, tubers, fisherman (license required) and picnickers make great use of the property. Park amenities include a picnic shelter (capacity 40), which may be reserved by telephoning the park department office at 765-463-2306 (a $20 donation is suggested), handicap accessible walkway linking the restrooms, picnic shelter, water fountain and observation deck overlooking the creek, and to the parking area. The Wildcat Park manger may be reached by telephoning 765-567-2707.
