Tippecanoe County Amphitheater Park
Located at 4449 State Road 43 N, West Lafayette, the Amphitheater is a 166 acre county-owned property located just 1.25 miles south of the intersection of State Road 43 and Interstate 65 (Exit 178). The dominant feature of the park is the 1,511-seat Tippecanoe County Amphitheater. This outdoor performance venue is suitable for a variety of events, including plays, concerts, church services and corporate events. The amenities housed in the rain shelter include:
The open turf grass areas, which surround the Amphitheater, make it an ideal venue for corporate or church picnics, fundraising events, receptions or other group activities. The facility has hosted events that range from Civic Theatre's "Civic Under the Stars" to the Harrison High School cross country program, and from full scale concerts to small private receptions. It has also proudly hosted the Vietnam Veterans Moving Wall.
The Amphitheater is a seasonal facility, and is available for rental from late April until mid-October. Rental fees are based on a menu of charges, but generally range from $200- $400 for a half-day rental to $400-$750 for a full day rental of the entire performance facility. Rates are based on both not-for-profit and for-profit fee schedules. Staging and stage cover equipment are available at an additional charge.
Other significant items not included in the basic rental charges include security, sound and lighting technicians, any necessary medical personnel, and event insurance, which is required for all public events at the Tippecanoe County Amphitheater.
