Acceptable Payments

Acceptable payments are:

  • Cash
  • Cashier's check
  • Certified check
  • Money order
  • Credit/debit cards at the counter (A convenience fee will be added for this service)
  • Online payments (A convenience fee will be added for this service)
  • Personal/business check unless property is in the Real Estate Tax Sale, scheduled for judgment or if applying for a mobile home tax clearance

Online Payments

The Online tax payment service is offered by Value Payment Systems as authorized by Tippecanoe County. A convenience fee of 2.50% of the payment amount ($3.95 minimum) for credit cards, and Pay Pal; $3.95 flat fee for Visa Debit cards; or a flat fee of $1.00 for E-Check is charged by Value Payment Systems for using this service.

Online payments may take 2-5 business days to process in our office. 

NOTE: If you select credit and are using a debit card you will be charged the credit processing rate.

NOTE: E-Check can take a few days to be pulled from your account while a credit card payment is removed instantly.

Please allow for this processing time when making a payment.


Returned Item

The total amount of posted tax payment(s) will be removed immediately from the applicable parcel(s) involved if there should be a returned item. A $27.50 fee will be charged for each of the following returned items:

  • Business/personal checks
  • Cashiers check
  • Online payment
