Community Corrections

Our MISSION is to be progressive in providing cost effective, community-based alternative to incarceration by providing intensive supervision in combination with cognitive behavioral programs and evidence-based practices to more efficiently encourage positive change in our participants.

Our VISION is to provide effective opportunities for our participants to achieve positive change and be reintegrated into our community while becoming productive members of society.

Community Corrections is a community based program with the purpose of providing a Diversion from a commitment to the Department of Correction (DOC) or local incarceration for the felony offender.

Since 1988 Tippecanoe County Community Corrections has participated in fiscal operations with the Department of Corrections. As in previous years since 1988, we continue to operate under an Indiana Department of Corrections grant, and project income from offenders' user fees. The purpose of the services provided by the agency is to provide alternatives to incarceration at the state and local levels for offenders referred by Circuit, Juvenile, Superior and County Courts.
