The goals of the Girls Unit serves 6 adolescent females ages 12-18, including pregnant adolescents, who are in need of a positive environment in which they can learn necessary skills that will lead to personal growth and success.
The goals of the Girls Units are:
- Anger management
- Develop successful coping mechanisms
- Feeling identification and management
- Foster self-esteem
- Increase self-worth
- Teach understanding of family dynamics
These goals will be met through a level based behavioral modification program that is overseen by a treatment team consisting of trained adolescent care specialists and workers, masters level therapists, and a licensed practical nurse.
