Parks & Recreation Department

It is the purpose of the Tippecanoe County Parks and Recreation Board to administer, program and maintain, acquire, and expand large open space parks and recreation facilities for all county citizens.

Department Functions

The Tippecanoe County Park and Recreation Department was organized in 1966. The department develops and maintains properties located outside of the city limits of Lafayette and West Lafayette. Full time staff includes 2 in administration, 1 professional naturalist and 9 park management positions. They oversee 1,263 acres of park property.
