On July 5, 2022, the Tippecanoe County Commissioners adopted Resolution 2022-24 authorizing the Area Plan Commission to work with residents and stakeholders of unincorporated Wabash and Tippecanoe Townships to study and complete a townships plan for unincorporated Wabash and Tippecanoe Townships. APC staff, with the assistance of a steering committee of representative stakeholders, engaged with the public at three formal public input events held in early 2023 along with soliciting online comment. The following draft plan contains the results of these input discussions in addition to input from steering committee members over the course of multiple steering committee meetings. This plan is designed to guide and influence the future development of the townships and is a statement of policy only. It does not change the current zoning of any property. It presents a conceptual vision for the future only, with long-range goals and objectives in regards to land use and road improvements. Note: The proposed road improvements shown in the plan are conceptual as well and subject to further study, political support, environmental & feasibility analysis, and engineering.

Online Comments
An open house event will be held on Tuesday, December 5th, 2023 from 5pm to 9pm at the Wabash Township Trustee Office located at the Wabash Township Fire Department, Station #1, 2899 Klondike Rd., West Lafayette, IN.
Anyone interested in attending this event should note that parking for the event will be located in the parking lot behind the firehouse building.
Once the public comment period has closed, the steering committee and APC staff will make any necessary changes to the draft before a final version of the plan is presented to the Area Plan Commission and Tippecanoe County Commissioners for adoption at their respective public hearings (hearing dates To Be Announced).
