US 52 West Corridor Study back

The Area Plan Commission, Tippecanoe County, the City of West Lafayette and the Indiana Department of Transportation jointly participated in an analysis of the US 52 corridor from Nighthawk Drive in West Lafayette to CR 500W plus Northwestern (US 231) from Lindberg Road to US 52.  The purpose of the study was to identify and evaluate transportation issues and problems in the corridor, and recommend improvements to address both short and long term needs.  The scope included recommendations for transit, bicycle and pedestrian needs.

The consultants worked closely with the public agencies and met several times to hone the analysis and recommendations.  Public meetings were held in May and November of 2010.  Input from those meetings was incorporated into the final recommendations for conceptual short and long range improvements.
