Tippecanoe County CASA

What is a Court Appointed Special Advocate
?
A CASA is a trained community volunteer that speaks up for the best interest of abused and neglected children in the Tippecanoe County court system.  Volunteers speak up for our county's most vulnerable children by being independent fact-finders, facilitators for change; monitoring the case closely and advocating for the needs of the child.

Prospective CASA volunteers must complete an application and participate in a screening interview prior to being considered to participate in training.  Training consists of 32-35 class room hours of instruction and also opportunities to observe actual court room proceedings.
