Tippecanoe County Indiana : TEMA

The Tippecanoe County Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) provides services and equipment in response to any emergency, manmade or natural, in a direct or supporting role to the citizens of Tippecanoe County and any other area within the State of Indiana as called upon to do so by recognized authorities. TEMA is expected to maintain and activate, if necessary, the Emergency Warning System Siren within Tippecanoe County. TEMA is also involved in and manages several Homeland Security projects within Tippecanoe County. This includes, but is not limited to, hazardous materials response, maintaining both a local and regional incident response unit made up of paid personnel and volunteers. Generally, TEMA is poised to try and facilitate the necessary response of expertise and equipment to any crisis or disaster within Tippecanoe County and surrounding counties.
