  1. Area Plan Commission (APC)

    The APC of Tippecanoe County is the multi-jurisdictional planning agency serving the cities of Lafayette and West Lafayette, the Towns of Battle Ground, Clarks Hill and Dayton, and unincorporated Tippecanoe County. Created in 1959, its 3 primary functions are Comprehensive Planning (plans and policies to shape the future), Current Planning (zoning and land division ordinances to implement the plans), and Transportation Planning (plans and strategies to serve all forms of future transportation needs).

  4. Building Commission

  6. Clerk

    The Clerk of the Circuit and Superior Courts is a county-elected official and serves as an officer of the court and manager of court information. The Office of Clerk is established by the Indiana Constitution.

    Community Corrections is a community based program with the purpose of providing a Diversion from commitment to the Department of Correction (DOC) or local incarceration for the felony offender.

    The Board of Election and Registration provides voter registration services for the county, administers county and municipal election activities, and assists with establishing precincts and boundaries.

  13. Emergency Management Agency (TEMA)

    The Tippecanoe County Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) provides services and equipment in response to any emergency, man made or natural, in a direct or supporting role to the citizens of Tippecanoe County and any other area within the State of Indiana as called upon to do so by recognized authorities.

  15. Health Department

    The mission of the Health Department is to enhance the health and welfare of Tippecanoe County through public health education, promotion, prevention, and the protection of public and environmental health.

    The Tippecanoe County Highway Department strives to build and maintain our roadway infrastructure such that the transporting of people, goods, and services is comfortable, efficient, and safe. We will continue to work to improve the transportation infrastructure for the citizens of Tippecanoe County.

    The Human Resource Department maintains the personnel file and employment information for each employee, administers all employee benefits offered by the county, and recruits/refers applicants to the hiring departments.

    Tippecanoe County Management Information Technology Services (MITS) provides both computer technology support and solutions, and GIS for the Tippecanoe County Government.

  19. Juvenile Alternatives

    It is the mission of the Community Corrections' Juvenile Alternatives Program to provide the Juvenile Court and local schools with viable alternatives for youth through the use of intervention, mediation, supervision, and education services.

    It is the purpose of the Tippecanoe County Parks and Recreation Board to administer, program and maintain, acquire, and expand large open space parks and recreation facilities for all county citizens.

  24. Public Defender

    The Public Defender's office represents indigent clients who are appointed by the courts. Cases include adults and juveniles charged with crimes, juveniles charged with status offenses, individuals charged with probation violations, and other miscellaneous types of cases.

  25. Recorder

    The Tippecanoe County Recorder's Office preserves many of the communities most important records, ranging from land ownership, home mortgages, and neighborhood covenants to business names and military discharge documents.

  27. Soil & Water Conservation

    The Tippecanoe County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is a legal subdivision of state government, the only local unit of government responsible for coordinating the conservation of our soil, water, and related natural resources.

  28. Surveyor

    The Surveyor's Office oversees all section corners throughout the county, supervises the construction, reconstruction and maintenance of county drains and ditches, reviews and inspects all new residential, commercial and industrial developments for compliance with the County Stormwater Ordinance.

  29. Tippecanoe Villa

    Tippecanoe Villa, a home in the country. Located on the rolling prairie just north of West Lafayette, Tippecanoe Villa is not just another residential care facility. The Villa is set on a beautiful sprawling property flanked by an orchard on one side and a charming white barn on the other.

  30. Treasurer

    The County Treasurer is the custodian of all monies belonging to the county. Disbursements of monies with the proper orders issued and attested by the County Auditor.

  31. Veteran's Services

    The Veteran Services Office assists veterans in obtaining federal and state VA benefits. Some of the federal benefits include compensation, medical, pension, and education.

  33. Women, Infants & Children (WIC)

    The Tippecanoe County WIC is a supplemental nutrition program committed to improving the health of eligible pregnant women, new mothers, infants, and children by providing nutrition education, nutritious foods, and breastfeeding support.

  34. Zoning Enforcement

    The Zoning Enforcement Department investigates written and signed complaints of violations of the Tippecanoe County Zoning Ordinance.
